Spot On

Description
Spot On is a ready-to-use liquid preparation for topical application used in the control of tsetse and other biting flies, nuisance flies and lice.

Indications
For the control of tsetse flies on cattle, bitting flies, lice, and keds on livestock.

Dosage and administration

Cattle.
Lice control: 10ml.
Apply as one spot on the midline of the back between the shoulders.
One application will normally eradicate lice but occasionally a second treatment 6-8 weeks later may be required.

Tsetse control:
Upto 100 kg 10 ml
101 to 200kg 20 ml
201 to 300kg 30 ml
Over 300kg 40 ml

Apply as two stripes, one on each side of the midline of the back from the shoulders to the point of the hip. Repeat at 4 weeks intervals. Best results are achieved when most of the cattle in a given area are regularly treated.
Control of other flies: 10 ml
Apply as one spot on the midline of the back between the shoulders. One application will control nuisance flies 2-3 weeks and horn flies (Haematobia spps) for up to 6 weeks.

Sheep:
Lice and ked control 5 ml
May be applied to full-fleece or newly shorn sheep and lambs. Part the fleece before application. Eradication of keds and lice will be effected in 4-5 weeks.

Withdrawal period
Cattle and sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 3 days of treatment, and pigs within 7 days of treatment.

TECHNICAL INFO
Composition
Each litre contains: Deltamethrin 10g.
Deltamethrin is a light stable synthetic pyrethroid with potent insecticidal activity.

Precautions
1. May cause a tingling sensation if it comes into contact with the skin.
2. Wear protective gloves when applying the product or when handling recently treated animals. Remove heavily contaminated clothing immediately and wash before re-use.
3. Wash splashes from the skin with soap and plenty of water. In case of contact with the eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Wash hands and exposed skin before meals or smoking and after work.
4. In case of accidental ingestion wash out the mouth with water immediately and seek medical advice.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out reach of children.
